Stroke survivor Carl Haydel worked with his occupational therapist, Amanda Cable, to regain strength and coordination to propose to his girlfriend, Rachel Di**le. 'It's so special to be a part of making dreams a reality for someone,' Cable tells PEOPLE.

NAPHSIS was proud to participate on a partner panel at the NVDRS Reverse Site Visit hosted by APHA in Atlanta this week. We joined important conversations around strengthening data, partnerships, and workforce.

Puerto Rico VDRS presented on how using STEVE to exchange data with their vital records colleagues has improved the quality and timeliness of their data, while automation has created more time for their team to focus on using the data to drive their program forward.

Wrapping up an incredible few days at Vital Records 101 👏

We closed out the training today with final discussions, key takeaways, and a chance to reflect on everything learned throughout the week. From foundational concepts to real-world applications, attendees are leaving with stronger knowledge, new connections, and tools they can take back to their jurisdictions.

Day 1 of Vital Records 101 in Portland is in the books ✔️

We kicked off the day with introductions before diving into the foundations of vital records. From national system overviews to perinatal data insights and security and fraud prevention, attendees got a strong start on the essentials.

We wrapped with interactive breakout groups and great discussion on key takeaways. More to come tomorrow!
