The details for the 2022 Reservation System for the Silver Lake Lions Field are posted on the Lions website at www.silverlakelions.org . The drawing night for the ARS process will be Monday, February 21, at 7 pm at the Silver Lake Senior Center.

The Advanced Reservation System guidelines for the Silver Lake Lions Field have changed. The 14-day notice requirement for non-use has been removed. Updated forms are available on the Silver Lake Lions website at www.silverlakelions.org .

The Silver Lake Lions Club has developed a new reservation process for the Silver Lake Lions Field. We have received feedback that the community would like more access to the field. We will be using this year as an evaluation year to help determine the interest level in using the field.

The new process involves The Storm Softball Organization having an agreement with the Silver Lake Lions Club which allows The Storm Softball Organization to have reserved practice dates in exchange for field maintenance and improvement activities. The Storm Softball Organization will have reserved times on Sundays (8 am to 8 pm), Wednesdays (4 to 9 pm), and Thursdays (4 to 9 pm) from February 28 to October 31, 2021.

There will be two new reservation systems for the remaining days (Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays):

The Advanced Reservation System (ARS) will be a lottery draw system in which teams may attend a draw night that allows them to draw for a time slot. There will be two sessions for the ARS, March 1 to July 18, 2021 (Session 1) and July 20 to October 31, 2021 (Session 2). The draw night for Session 1 will be held February 25, 2021 at 6 pm at the Silver Lake Senior Community Center.

The Intermittent Reservation System (IRS) will be set up to reserve those remaining slots not used by the ARS as well as any slot reserved via ARS that will not be used on a weekly basis (ie, team conflict and unable to practice). The IRS will be scheduled on a weekly basis via the Silver Lake Lions Club website (www.silverlakelions.org).

Lions Field Reservation System

The Silver Lake Lions Club is in the process of re-evaluating the usage policies for the Silver Lake Lions Field.

We will be hosting an informational meeting on January 19 at 6 pm at the Silver Lake Community Center. The community is invited to attend to offer input and insight into how they would like for the field to be scheduled in the future.

After this meeting, the Silver Lake Lions Club will formulate a plan for scheduling and will announce it via the Silver Lake Lions Club website (www.silverlakelions.org), the Silver Lake Lions page, and the City of Silver Lake website (www.silverlakeks.org).

The Lions Club is hosting a Legislative Coffee at the Silver Lake Senior Citizen on Saturday, February 16 starting at 9 a.m. Fred Patton and Vic Miller have both agreed to be in attendance, and the usual ground rules will be applied. Plan on attending!
