Today marks Alec’s one year since his brain surgery and stroke! He’s made some many large leaps and bounds! The journey is not over, but he is still thriving! Tomorrow is his 1year follow up! 🩶❤️🧠🤞🏼🫶🏻

I’m so so proud of Al!
As of date, Alec graduated from PT and OT today! To date he has done 141 therapies since his surgery. Still with one last one to go, but working hard to graduate from that as well!
When he first started therapy he had 4 goals that he rated himself on. *Goal #1- rated 0/10, picking up our kids
*Goal #2- rated 0/10, cooking a meal on his own
*Goal #3- rated 0/10, walking 100 feet without a cane
*Goal #4- rated 0/10, talking again.

Today alec was rated a 10/10 on all of them!
All 4 goals alec wasn’t able to do after surgery and his stroke.
Although the news from his last apt wasn’t exactly what we wanted, we are so happy of the progress he has made!

Alec update!
Alec had his first mri and apt after surgery. Apt with the surgeon was promising and he was confident that the tumor was gone in its entirety. There was some slight concern from the radiologist from the mri. Another mri and oncology meeting in October will help to confirm the tumor status and his next steps will then come from oncology.
Alec also had a driving simulator test last week which went well but he has to now complete an on the road assessment this weekend and another eye dr. Apt next week! 🤞🏼

I would like to THANK EVERYONE who volunteered, donated, came out, and supported our family yesterday!!! It was a great turn out. We had about 250 people come out yesterday with 122 items up for grabs and the 50/50. The event couldn’t have went any smoother thanks to the volunteers! And everyone who showed up! Thank you so very much!!!

There seems to be one missing item… a paper with kingfish tickets on it for the kingfish winner. If everyone could just double check that a kingfish paper print out didn’t accidentally go home with someone. If so, just shoot me a message!!! Thank you! (Kingfish contacted but this way may be easier)
