🎉🎂❤️ ONE YEAR OF COMMUNITY, COMPASSION, AND HOPE ❤️🎂🎉
This month marks one full year since the Silver City Street Outreach Drop-In Center first opened its doors.
What started as a simple idea—a place where everyone would be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect—has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.
Over the past year, we've welcomed hundreds of neighbors and friends who have visited us thousands of times, served hundreds of fresh home-cooked meals, distributed clothing, blankets, hygiene supplies, and emergency resources, briefly operated a winter warming center, hosted free massage clinics, and created a space where people know they are welcome exactly as they are. ❤️
None of this would have been possible without the incredible volunteers who have given their time, energy, and hearts to this mission. Thank you to everyone who has:
🍽️ Cooked meals
🙋 Staffed the front desk
👕 Sorted clothing donations
🧹 Cleaned up after long days
🤝 Offered a helping hand whenever it was needed
You are the reason this place exists.
We are also deeply grateful to the government agencies, foundations, nonprofits, churches, businesses, and community organizations that have awarded grants, donated supplies, collaborated with us to solve common challenges, and believed in our vision from the very beginning.
Special thanks to everyone who donated:
🧥 Clothing
🛏️ Blankets
🛌 Pillows
🪑 Cots
🔥 Winter warming center supplies
Your generosity helped keep people safe during some of the coldest nights of the year.
🌟 A heartfelt thank you to the Gila Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico for making Give Grandly such an incredible success and helping connect our community to the spirit of local giving.
📚 Thank you to the teachers, mentors, elders, and advisors who have shared wisdom, guidance, encouragement, and sometimes tough lessons when we needed them most.
🚓🚑🚒 Thank you to our local police officers, EMS crews, firefighters, and public servants who work every day to keep our community healthy and safe.
🏛️ And a special thank you to our new Mayor for his frequent visits, encouragement, and willingness to stay connected to the people we serve.
Most importantly...
❤️ THANK YOU to all our unhoused friends, families, and neighbors.
You are not simply recipients of services. You are our teachers, our partners, and our daily reminder of why this work matters. Your resilience, humor, honesty, and strength inspire us every single day. You have helped keep our heads straight, our feet moving forward, and our eyes fixed on the mission.
One year down.
Hundreds of lives touched.
Countless acts of kindness shared.
And we're just getting started.
Thank you, Silver City. ❤️
Here's to another year of compassion in action. 🫶✨
