It's that time again, Wreaths Across America time. The Silsbee Woman’s Club along with the City of Silsbee will be having a community ceremony for veterans on December 19th 10:00am at the Veterans Memorial Park on Earnest Street. Every year, we remember our veterans by placing wreaths on their graves and we honor the ones that are still with us by placing wreaths on our doorways. And we teach our kids how important our veterans are to us and our freedoms.
Please think about purchasing a wreath in honor or remembering our veterans. You can keep your wreath and display it or lay it on your veteran’s grave, or you can donate it back and have it laid on a veterans grave at one of our local cemeteries. Wreaths are $17 each and will be here the morning of December 19th to be picked up at the Rudisalle Pavilion in Silsbee at 8-9am. Please contact Patricia Knoblock 409-504-7070.

Today, the Silsbee Womens Club had our monthly meeting and had a very informative program on domestic violence.
Debra Tomov from the Department of Family Services gave our group information on local shelters and our group plans to tour their new facility in the near future. Every month we have speakers and a program to keep us informed of issues on different subjects. If your looking for a group to join, come check out Silsbee Womens Club.

Silsbee Womens Club met today at St. John's Episcopal Church for our monthly luncheon meeting. Hostesses gave a spectacular presentation on Texas Heritage and served brisket with all the fixings. Thanks ladies for a fantastic program!

We had a great time celebrating our July birthday girl, Margaret. We are truly blessed to have good friends to celebrate with. Happy Birthday to ALL our women friends who have birthdays this month. GOD is always great!

Wreaths Across America is one of the Silsbee Womens Club main fundraisers. Every year in December, the club organizes a Veterans program at the Veterans Memorial Park where they lay wreaths remembering and honoring our veterans. Patricia Knoblock received an appreciation certificate for being the area organizer.

Silsbee Womens Club had an outstanding meeting today. The club donated funds to PVAC, Meals on Wheels, Friends of the Library, Christian Care Center, Ice House Museum, Boys and Girls Club, and Silsbee ISD Health Services. The club also installed 5 new members and installed officers for 2026-2028. The Silsbee High School Culinary Class catered the luncheon and the food was spectacular. John Marble of Satsuma Valley Studios also was there and was awarded a sponsorship from the club. All in all, it was a fabulous day!
