We had a great time celebrating our July birthday girl, Margaret. We are truly blessed to have good friends to celebrate with. Happy Birthday to ALL our women friends who have birthdays this month. GOD is always great!

Wreaths Across America is one of the Silsbee Womens Club main fundraisers. Every year in December, the club organizes a Veterans program at the Veterans Memorial Park where they lay wreaths remembering and honoring our veterans. Patricia Knoblock received an appreciation certificate for being the area organizer.

Silsbee Womens Club had an outstanding meeting today. The club donated funds to PVAC, Meals on Wheels, Friends of the Library, Christian Care Center, Ice House Museum, Boys and Girls Club, and Silsbee ISD Health Services. The club also installed 5 new members and installed officers for 2026-2028. The Silsbee High School Culinary Class catered the luncheon and the food was spectacular. John Marble of Satsuma Valley Studios also was there and was awarded a sponsorship from the club. All in all, it was a fabulous day!

Today Silsbee Womens Club brought the Silsbee Public Library pizza and a cookie cake to celebrate National Library Workers Day. We appreciate our library staff, they work hard all year long. If you haven't been to the library in awhile, you need to visit it! Also, this weekend is Spring in the Big Thicket festival. Our Library is the happening place!

I received an incredible award today from GFWC Texas Magnolia District!!! Outstanding Clubwoman Volunteer of the year!! Thank you Silsbee Woman’s Club ladies for the nomination. I’m very humbled for this exciting award bestowed to me. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!!

Today we had our program on environment. The theme was on recycling and re-purposing. We talked about using old stuff instead of buying new stuff. We learned about past recycling projects our club has sponsored and won awards for. Thank you to Ya-Ya's I love junk and Margaret Underhill for speaking on these subjects.
