Blood donors save lives.

Our "walking blood bank" — staff members and locals who volunteer to give blood when the need arises — is the reason many of our patients are still alive.

It's always nice to see our work bear fruit — literally, in this case. The mushroom blocks our Thai foundation donated to Ban Lekho School in Mae Hong Son province, Thailand, a little over a month ago are already putting out mushrooms. We're honored we get to help feed the students who live and learn there!

Around here, we're always constructing something new or repairing something old. The Karen are experts at building quickly with the materials at hand, which is especially important during rainy season. Here, we're making a building to house tuberculosis patients.

Our kitchen staff are often unsung heroes of the RTC campus. These women wake up every weekday at 2 a.m. to start cooking for the rest of us.

Every Thursday, the whole campus gets to eat meat curry. Here, the cooks are carrying the meat from the freezer to the kitchen to cook.

Our Thai foundation office, along with village health volunteers from Ban San Pu Lei, prepared 150 fried rice and pork meal boxes to distribute to villagers in the community. Projects like these help reduce expenses and a little daily labor for villagers who live alone, are elderly, or are unemployed. It was a joy to both our team and the villagers involved! We hope to organize similar meal deliveries a couple times a month.
