The incoming storm makes this more needed than ever! We have had many kind and wonderful volunteers to step up so far and help watch over the facility, but there are some big holes to fill this weekend. If you have capable transportation and confidence in your safety, we could use your help making sure the most vulnerable neighbors have a warm place for the weekend. NOTE: Freedom Family Church - Siler City is willing to extend their hospitality even further into the day to allow for temps to rise, but we need help covering those morning shifts as well!

VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED: Due to high demand and low temperatures, we are opening up our emergency shelter again at Freedom Family Church - Siler City starting MONDAY, JAN 26th through SUNDAY, FEB 8th. We are kicking off a new campaign to raise the start-up funds for a new thrift store! This store would provide further service and financial sustainability to the clients in our Transitional Housing Program and support our other community work. 💪🏽 Many hands make light work — and the Seaforth
JV & Varsity Football teams proved that in a big way! 🏈

We’re so grateful to these hardworking young men who spent the day helping us clear out and organize several large storage units. Thanks to their strength and teamwork, we were also able to deliver much-needed furniture to several families.

This is a big week, as CORA's merger with West Chatham Food Pantry became official on July 1st. Renovations on the space will begin next week. We'll be offering drive-thru service during renovation, but we can't wait to welcome everyone inside the new CORA Choice Food Pantry in Siler City later this summer. CORA's Siler City pantry will look much like our Pittsboro pantry and will be a friendly place close to home where neighbors like this Siler City mom we met recently can get the nutritious foods their families enjoy.
