Bootheel Babies and Families

We're empowering communities to end infant mortality. Through education and promotion we work to ensure more babies reach their first birthday.

Bootheel Babies and Families is an infant mortality reduction initiative funded and supported by Missouri Foundation for Health working in coordination with MBRC and BNHI. The Foundation is a resource for the region, working with communities and nonprofits to generate and accelerate positive changes in health. As a catalyst for change, the Foundation improves the health of Missourians through a co

mbination of partnerships, experience, knowledge, and funding. Bootheel Babies and Families partners with communities and groups in Stoddard, Scott, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot and Dunklin counties in Southeast Missouri.

• Shining Light Ministries: A huge shout-out for going above and beyond! Thank you for handling the heavy lifting of picking up and delivering the food to our sites.

• Our Hosts: Thank you to Caring Communities and the Fresh Start Self-Improvement Center for providing the space and support to host these events.

• SEMO Food Bank: Thank you for providing the nutritious food that reached so many tables this month.

Need Food Assistance?

Join us today for another Drive-Thru Mobile Food Pantry to provide free food boxes to those in need! Simply drive up, and our volunteers will load the food directly into your vehicle. No appointment is necessary.

BBF and the Mississippi County Food Coalition had an exciting day filled with learning and giving back to this beautiful community.

A huge shoutout to the Mizzou team for an insightful Day of Learning, the SEMO Food Bank for providing food boxes that we were able to distribute into the community, and finally to all of our amazing volunteers and organizations who were vital in making yesterday a huge success!
