Bootheel Babies and Families We're empowering communities to end infant mortality. Through education and promotion we work to ensure more babies reach their first birthday.

Bootheel Babies and Families is an infant mortality reduction initiative funded and supported by Missouri Foundation for Health working in coordination with MBRC and BNHI. The Foundation is a resource for the region, working with communities and nonprofits to generate and accelerate positive changes in health. As a catalyst for change, the Foundation improves the health of Missourians through a co

mbination of partnerships, experience, knowledge, and funding. Bootheel Babies and Families partners with communities and groups in Stoddard, Scott, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot and Dunklin counties in Southeast Missouri.

Our hearts (and our pantries) are full! We want to extend a massive THANK YOU to each and every individual/organization who made these last two mobile food pantries of 2025 a success.

It truly takes a village to serve our community, and we are so grateful for these incredible partners:

• To our Volunteers: You are the hands and feet of this mission. Whether you braved the cold, loaded boxes, or greeted neighbors with a smile—we couldn't have done it without your energy and dedication!

• Shining Light Ministries: A huge shout-out for going above and beyond! Thank you for handling the heavy lifting of picking up and delivering the food to our sites.

• Our Hosts: Thank you to Caring Communities and the Fresh Start Self-Improvement Center for providing the space and support to host these events.

• SEMO Food Bank: Thank you for providing the nutritious food that reached so many tables this month.

Because of this teamwork, more families in our community have food on their tables this holiday season. And finally, on behalf of the BBF staff and board we would like to wish you all a very blessed and merry Christmas!

Join us today for another Drive-Thru Mobile Food Pantry to provide free food boxes to those in need! Simply drive up, and our volunteers will load the food directly into your vehicle. No appointment is necessary.

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to the Glenn House this past Saturday for our Haunts for Hope fundraiser! Your support made the night a huge success for Bootheel Babies and Families.

Ready to raise spirits and funds? Join us for Haunts for Hope, a delightfully spooky ghost walk that ends with live music, s’mores, maybe a tarot reading you’ll overthink for days, and a few friendly “spirits” (the supernatural kind… and the sippable kind).

We’ll wander through downtown’s haunted history, then gather at The Glenn House for a cozy campfire hangout featuring music, snacks, drinks, and stories that might make you question whether that chill was the breeze… or something else.

Nothing too theatrical, nothing too terrifying — just a perfectly spooky night under the stars filled with ghosts, giggles, giving, and good vibes, all in support of Bootheel Babies & Families.

Get ready for a spooktacular night of glowing fun! Bootheel Babies and Families is thrilled to announce our Halloween Blacklight Bingo event!

Join us for an evening filled with thrilling bingo games, awesome prizes, and a unique blacklight experience that will make your Halloween festivities unforgettable. Don't forget to wear your best neon or white to glow under the black lights or even your best Halloween costume!

Proceeds from this event will directly support Bootheel Babies and Families' mission to support, educate, and empower families and community partners to improve maternal and child outcomes. It's a fantastic way to have fun while making a real difference!
