Your phone can be a powerful recovery tool or a major trigger. It depends on how you use it. 📱 A few things worth thinking about:

✔ Unfollow or mute accounts that glamorize substance use
✔ Be mindful of late-night scrolling
✔ Put the phone down when you're in community, be present
✔ Use it to reach out when you're struggling, not just to scroll

Curate your feed like you're protecting your recovery. Because you are.

Our Sikeston crew joined our Cape RCC friends for a trip to Talon Falls Screampark! We love getting our centers together, making memories, and growing our recovery community. 💜

Recovery includes having fun and finding people to share it with—even if they’re screaming right beside you! 😂

Having someone who checks in on you, who asks the hard questions, who won't let you disappear without following up...that's not annoying. That's lifesaving. Recovery gets risky when nobody's watching. Not because you need a babysitter, but because isolation is where relapse likes to hide. Let people in. Let them ask. Let WDRCC be part of your circle. One of the biggest questions in recovery: what do I actually do with people now? 🤔 Building a social life without substances takes effort, but it's worth it.

✔ Say yes to things that don't center around drinking
✔ Try something brand new...you might surprise yourself
✔ Show up to community spaces like WDRCC where sobriety is the norm
✔ Be honest with friends about what you need right now
✔ Give new friendships time
