Talk about a great hunting trip with an even better ending!
Sisters Lacey and Hailey each harvested a doe during Missouri’s antlerless season and donated their deer to Share the Harvest. Their donations will help put nutritious food on the table for neighbors facing hunger across our region.
Share the Harvest turns a successful hunt into meals for Missouri families. Hunters can donate all or part of their deer at a participating meat processor, where the venison is processed and distributed through food banks and pantries. One deer can provide about 160 meals!
Venison is a valuable source of protein, helping families access nutritious food they might not otherwise have. We’re grateful to Lacey, Hailey and all the hunters who make this program possible!
Want to help, too? The Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation has Share the Harvest knives available for the first 100 donors who contribute at least $125 to help cover processing fees. Donations to this effort are monetary only.
Every donation helps get more nutritious protein to neighbors who need it. https://mochf.org/share-the-harvest-donations/
