What happens when the effects of incarceration continue long after someone returns home?

At the 2026 MCRSP Annual Conference, Mark McDonald will present “McDonald: Post-Incarceration Syndrome.” Drawing on more than 37 years of behavioral health experience, Mark will explore how trauma and prolonged incarceration can affect identity, relationships, decision-making, and behavior.

Participants will learn trauma-informed strategies that promote healing, accountability, recovery, and successful community reintegration.
