The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Northeastern Ripley County in southeastern Missouri...

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 346 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Budapest, or 12 miles north of Doniphan, and is
nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Ripley County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

* At 406 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Puxico to Oxly, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Poplar Bluff, Dexter, Puxico, Neelyville, Qulin, Fisk, Dudley,

Thanks Clay Guthrie for the photo. Tropical funnel has developed with a shower near East Prairie. Nothing to be concerned with. These rarely touchdown and if they do, produce winds 40mph or less.
