Today is Monday January 27th, 2025

Here is our need list for the Phoenix Veteran's Pantry. The refrigerator and freezer is empty. Anything frozen.

We bought a big case a great northern beans. If anyone could get cornbread mix, and frozen ham hocks. I think our veterans would love that. Maybe even small bags of potatoes, for fried potatoes. I know you see where I am going with this one, lol.

We bought a case of tortillas and we have hot sauce and taco cause. Could anyone get small packs ir frozen ground beef or frozen turkey? small packs. Most of the veterans that come in are single. Not families.

Lunch meats, hot dogs, and any other meat that we can freeze. T.V. Dinners could even be something they might want. Keep in mind. Small packs. Single people.

Canned meats. We are running low on all the canned meats. Tuna, beef, ham, spam, Vienna sausage bar bq, ( we have regular), sardines hot & spicy, sardines mustard, and any other meats you can think of really.

We are in great shape of canned vegetables. We do not need any. Thankful to all of you for bringing them. Now we need other stuff to go with it so the veterans can make meals.

Now that almost all of our homeless veterans have housing. Thank God! I mean really, thank God!! Can you even imagine them outside in these temps? God is so good!! So now almost all of our veterans coming in are older veterans, single veterans, most have lost a spouse and trying to live on that one check that is now coming in. We have month after month that we are helping them so much. Being able to get food here is giving them peace and they are able to pay that electricity bill now. We can do this without you!! We cany do this without the vendors at Semo Workshop & Craft Mall. Did you know they donate 10% of what they sell to the pantry?

So please help us with some food!! This will be a busy week at the pantry. The last week and the first week of the month is our busier weeks.

You can drop off your donations at Semo Workshop and Craft Mall at 2022 East Malone Ave Sikeston Missouri. We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

The Phoenix Veteran's Pantry hours are Tuesday- Friday from 10am to 4pm if you are in need.

Huge THANK YOU to the Sikeston American Legion AUXILIARY. THE AUXILIARY that the American Legion always helps when the pantry is in need of food. Every single time!! They brought out cases of soups, cases of canned goods, cases of chili, and lots of other items to help us fill the shelves. The pantry has been HIT HARD!!

I have to brag on this team. They wanted to go do some shopping for the The Phoenix Veteran's Pantry . With the monthly donation that the Sikeston VFW Post 3174 Auxiliary gives each month. They had saved up a couple months and was able to get a couple cart fulls of food. They shopping, they loaded, they brought it to the pantry, and they unloaded. Mike likes to stock the shelves to rotate the dates. So they left the groceries there for him to do that Ut was a great day!!

They got the experience walking in the shoes of people that run a food pantry for veterans. We do this each week. Sometimes more than once. Our community is amazing and we absolutely welcome the help. Thank you so much to the Sikeston VFW Post 3174 & Auxiliary Cheryl, Kathy and Tony!

The Phoenix Veteran's Pantry gets to help about 200 veterans each month. We have been so blessed we the very best community around us. Thank each and everyone of you!

The Phoenix Veteran's Pantry is open Tuesday-Friday from 10am to 4pm. Come out this week if you are needing a coat or giving one. We do have some sock hats left as well.

Today is giving Tuesday. Consider helping an area veteran in need. We have been hit hard in November. We need your help to get restocked. Hearty soups and meats are the needs right now.

We have had so many of you asking how to make a financial donation to The Phoenix Veteran's Pantry. Here is the Square link to make a donation. The veterans appreciate every single penny you donate so our team can buy food, toiletries, hygiene items, clean supplies, first ade items, and anything else needed. Thank you all so much!!

You all know we take in date food as well. WE LOVE donated food!! This means our team does have to go shopping, lol. The Pantry need list changes but we are preparing for winter. Soups with veggies and meat, canned meats, peanut butter, jelly, honey, hot dogs, lunch meats, pasta, spaghetti sauce in a can, tuna, ketchup, mustard, hot sauces, body wash for men & women, shampoo for men & women, detergent, fabric softener, water, and now we need heaters.
