The Signal Mountain Fire Fighters Association sat down with Chip Baker today, Hamilton County Commissioner and a citizen of the town of Signal Mountain. He's urging voters to get out and make your voices heard and support the men and women who protect us. This election is critical to public safety. The Association will be sharing its endorsed candidates soon. Early voting is October 14 through October 29, and Election Day is November 3.

The Signal Mountain Fire Fighters Association has spent weeks interviewing Town Council candidates in depth - all but two responded. Here's where we stand:
This election is critical for Signal Mountain's town employees and, most importantly, its citizens. You are the reason we do this work - your vote shapes the care this mountain receives, and we're fighting to make sure it's the very best. Citizen surveys name public safety the town's number one priority. Vote for candidates who support public safety and our town employees.
Signal Mountain must move forward, not stand still. If you're running for popularity or a hidden agenda, step aside - this town deserves better.
After weeks of in-depth review, we'll announce our endorsement of four candidates in the coming days.
Early voting starts Wednesday, October 14. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.

Public safety is a priority for Signal Mountain Fire Fighters Association. The men and women answering those calls need to be trained to the highest caliber - EMS, technical rope rescue, fire - because your emergency deserves nothing less than the best quality of care. We also believe in fair wages and responsible stewardship of our people, because a supported firefighter is a ready firefighter. You may not need us every day, but when you do, you want us there, ready to go, able to handle whatever emergency comes our way. Politics play a role in the level of care this town receives, so this November, vote for the people who put public safety first.

Signal Mountain's next council will decide whether this town moves forward or stands still. The citizens are the ones who shape this town's future, and they are the future of this mountain, and they've always been vocal about standing behind the men and women who serve — fire, police, and every town employee. We in the Fire Fighters Association love this town and everything its people pour into us. So before you vote, ask who's willing to invest in them, who's driven by the mission and not a popularity contest, and who's got the cold hard facts to back it up.
