Son today marks 17 years ago my gift from God was taken from us. You were such a positive child and young man. I think of you every day and pray to God that we will be together some day. Love you Son, and know you are at Peace. Until we are together again, Love Your Dad.

Today we morn the senseless shooting of students and teachers in Texas. Since 1999 169 people have been killed on school campuses across our nation; one death is one too many. During that same period of time over 22,000 college students have taken their lives. Both are problems in our nation both are a loss to the families of the victims. We can do more to save lives. Mental health is a killer.
God Bless all the families of both.

During the past year I have been searching for an answer on how we can create awareness and save lives. It has been 13 years since Sean took his life at UCSB. The truth nothing has changed, and su***de remains the number two killer of our college students. What I have been thinking about is creating an endowment program in Sean's name at UCSB that. would support mental health on campus. I would like to spread the endowment program to colleges and university across our nation.

For those of you who read the last post regarding College Student Mental Health and Su***de Awareness/Prevention Week, realistically this is a goal for March of 2022. It is obvious that we could not pull this off in 2021 but with everyones help this is a realistic goal for 2022. I still need everyones help, if you know an elected member of congress you can help by getting the word out that this is our goal.
Thanks again for your support together we can save lives.
