Mission and Programs

American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) Foundation was founded in 2004 on Christian values to serve the less fortunate by providing food, clothing, health information, wellness care, and spiritual support to those in need regardless of religious beliefs. AUHS Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, data-driven community-based research organization that was created to relieve the suffering of the poor, distressed, and underprivileged through research and education in health sciences: nursing, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology.

The mission of American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) Foundation is to advance knowledge and scholarly inquiry related to education in health sciences for the underrepresented groups, and to use research and service to reduce health disparities, promote diversity in health care profession and to affect positive change in the lives of underserved communities through mind, body and soul.

As a research and services organization, AUHS Foundation is recognized and respected for its commitment to the Medically Underserved Population, its education of under-privileged youths in the health sciences, its support of sustainable programs to advance the lives of vulnerable homeless populations, and its addressing of the basic needs of low-income communities.

AUHS Foundation many programs address immediate needs and provides opportunities for a brighter future for disadvantaged populations. Our homeless outreach programs include: Lamp Unto My Feet, Giving Thanks, Pray It Forward, and WISH/MASH. We serve families in need through our quarter Acts of Love, Santa Cause Toy Giveaway, and Annual Health Fair. AUHS Foundation has created opportunities and mentorship to empower inner-city and at-risk youths to succeed in school today and for the future through programs such as Youth Enrichment in Science (Y.E.S.), Aspire 2 Inspire (A2i) Summer Camp, Reading Readiness Mentorship, Backing Our Future Backpack Campaign, and an Annual Book Fair. Please visit our website at www.auhsfoundation.org to learn more about each program and to show your support by donating to our cause.
