The 14th Annual Tour de Manure, with over 500 bike riders will meander through the Sierra Valley next Saturday June 7th beginning at 7am. This historic event is a benefit for the Eastern Sierra Firefighters’ Auxiliary. The event organizers along with our hosts, the Sierra County Fire Protection District are excited to show off our home, the beautiful Sierra Valley.
Please be aware of riders, volunteers and our helpful “Turn Cowboys” on the roadways. Respect our participants by slowing down and giving them some distance when passing
The ride begins from the Sierraville Firehouse, 102 E Main St., Sierraville. Check in after 7:00 am.
Riders will be riding one of three routes – 62 miles, 42 miles or 30 miles – see map attached.
PLEASE do not ride the route unless you are registered! Our permits allow only 500 riders. Please discourage unregistered riders from riding the route. Instead of poaching, why not volunteer? Call Mike Blide at (530) 320-5711 and he’ll get you squared away. You will get the lunch and the T-shirt!”
The Tour de Manure is organized and run by volunteers. We are very grateful for the overwhelming support we have received from our sponsors this year. Come join us for the after event festivities, including live music, beer for sale and buy some raffle tickets for a chance to win VIP 49er football and SF Giants Baseball VIP packages.
