After conducting a highly successful Tour de Manure this past June, there has been a reshuffling of personnel among the Eastern Sierra Firefighters' Auxiliary, which is the organizing body behind the event. The current board, faced with some looming deadlines and the need to procure more planning and administrative support, have made the decision to put the 2026 Tour on hiatus. This will give the board time to gather personnel, refocus the mission, and do the work necessary to again produce a fun, safe, and successful fundraiser. We appreciate our loyal ridership and volunteers, and look forward to gathering again in June of 2027 for the fourteenth Tour de Manure!

Calling all riders and friends of riders - our beloved Tour de Manure is in great need of some volunteers - we need help with event coordination, permitting, pre-event volunteer training, rest stop helpers and turn cowboys and all manner of helpers pre, day of and post event. If you want to work with a super fun group of amazing folk - send Deb an email at [email protected] along with your phone number and we will find a special place for your talents. The 14th Annual Tour de Manure, with over 500 bike riders will meander through the Sierra Valley next Saturday June 7th beginning at 7am. This historic event is a benefit for the Eastern Sierra Firefighters’ Auxiliary. The event organizers along with our hosts, the Sierra County Fire Protection District are excited to show off our home, the beautiful Sierra Valley.
Please be aware of riders, volunteers and our helpful “Turn Cowboys” on the roadways. Respect our participants by slowing down and giving them some distance when passing
The ride begins from the Sierraville Firehouse, 102 E Main St., Sierraville. Check in after 7:00 am.
Riders will be riding one of three routes – 62 miles, 42 miles or 30 miles – see map attached.
PLEASE do not ride the route unless you are registered! Our permits allow only 500 riders. Please discourage unregistered riders from riding the route. Instead of poaching, why not volunteer? Call Mike Blide at (530) 320-5711 and he’ll get you squared away. You will get the lunch and the T-shirt!”
The Tour de Manure is organized and run by volunteers. We are very grateful for the overwhelming support we have received from our sponsors this year. Come join us for the after event festivities, including live music, beer for sale and buy some raffle tickets for a chance to win VIP 49er football and SF Giants Baseball VIP packages.

Alibi Ale Works have been stalwart supporters of the Tour de Manure for years. Kevin Drake, Alibi's intrepid owner, is uber-generous, and contributes to dozens of community events and programs. Alibi has three public drinking establishments, one in Truckee and two in Incline Village, and all feature their wide selection of craft beers in very cozy digs. The Truckee and Incline Public Houses also have a killer pub menu. They also feature live music (including open mic nights!), trivia nights, game nights, après ski Happy Hours, and more. Go spend some money and give back to this generous partner! www.alibialeworks.com

Jay Huebert may look sweet, but he is a bad ass and the artist who drew the Tour logo! If you did not get registered for the Tour, and are considering poaching the event, PLEASE reconsider! We have limited parking, and our Cal Trans permit only allows 500 riders. Exceeding that number may jeopardize future Tours. There are many other places to ride, and other days to visit the spectacular Sierra Valley. If you aren't wearing a wristband, you will have to deal with Jay.
