Finished a big job we had been working on in Pearce for a while which included a 30,000 gallon Pioneer tank getting water from his 5,000 square foot roof. Roof had 3 downspouts on each side of the house where we put a 100 gallon tank under each downspout. One of these tanks on each side of the house has a 1 hp sump pump capable of doing 6,000 gallons per hour. During a rain event the tanks with the pumps inside are trying to empty themsrlves into the 30,000 gallon tank while the other two tanks on each side are filling with water. Those two tanks on each side of the house are linked bottom to bottom to the tank with a pump using 2” pipe. Also installed a Grundfos Scala II variable speed pump to put that rain water under good pressure to two hose bibs and future house use

Recently finished a job for a customer in the Tucson foothills. Kind of a hybrid wet delivery system. Installed a sump pump in the tank so the customer could attach a hose and water under a little pressure. When doing this kind of pump drilled a 1/8” hole in the pipe coming from the pump inside the tank just above the high water level mark. This stops the siphon effect when the pump is turned off and the hose is layed on the ground. I also installed the overflow down along the top of the short wall with a 1.5” flexible hose that can either be put into the pool or her landscaping on the back side of the wall
