There have been a lot of inquiries lately regarding the Tri-County Senior Center - what we are, where we are, etc. - so I've put together the information below to answer some of the questions. Feel free to share it with area seniors. New people are always welcome, as are ideas for activities or programs.

What a great trip we had yesterday to Alexandria Bay! First, a 2-1/4 hour luncheon cruise of the beautiful 1,000 islands (Did you know there are actually 1,864 islands?) next a stop at Boldt Castle. It just keeps getting better every time we see it. The restoration and the gardens are magnificent! We ended the day with a dinner stop at Cracker Barrel in Watertown before heading home. We seniors sure do love our day trips!

I found out this morning when I ordered our tickets for the Lovin' Spoonful concert that the lawn seating tickets are now buy one, get one free!

We had our second Ladies' Luncheon today, this time at the Sidney Golf & Country Club. They did a great job of serving 16 of us in a timely manner. Our next luncheon will be at the Roma Pizzeria Restaurant in Oxford on Tuesday, August 19. More details will be coming soon.

We braved the heat yesterday for another successful Tri-County Seniors' annual picnic at Copes Corners Park. We never lack for good food and the entertainment was superb! Thank you to everyone who attended and to those who helped in any way - with planning, setup, food or clean up. It was greatly appreciated!

Tri-County Senior Center FUNDRAISER FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE FLOODING IN TEXAS! We'll be selling ice cream sundaes on the deck outside the senior center (right rear of the hospital building at 43 Pearl Street in Sidney) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on SATURDAY, JULY 19. Please spread the word and stop over to make a donation, get a sundae, and enjoy some oldies music.
