Sidney's Memorial Day Parade and Program was held on May 25. The Memorial Day Program was held in Veterans Memorial Park following the parade on Central Ave.

We want to take a moment to thank Chris Averill with the Montana 250 Commission for stopping in Sidney yesterday! We appreciate the support of our celebration here. Chris was even able to tour the Flags of Honor and learn about its history.

MEMBERS--The minutes from our April meeting are in our private group. Please note that our May meeting will be moved to May 19th and will be an important one to attend. First of all, it will be held at Saloon 27 to celebrate our annual birthday lunch and the 80th anniversary of our Auxiliary. We'll also be draping the charter, have a memorial service, and installation of new officers. This will also be our final meeting before Memorial Day. Please make every effort to attend.

Members of VFW Auxiliary Post 4099: we need your help. The funeral for Vicki Vaira is Saturday May 9, at 10:00, at Shepherd of the Valley. Members of the Auxiliary will be doing a Memorial service at the church and each will present a white flower. To enable sufficient flowers, please indicate if you will be participating. The florists scramble getting enough flowers, especially with Mother's day so close. Please indicate in the comments or contact Tim or Violet. Thank you for your consideration.

President Tim Tharp was honored to present a check for $2500 from the Auxiliary to the Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture in support of the fundraising taking place to install a permanent monument in Veterans Memorial Park to honor Veterans from the region.
