SIDNEY entrepreneurs - this is for you! 👇

The Sidney Small Business Advancement Program (SSBAP) is an economic incentive program designed to encourage entrepreneurship, assist with business expansion, and promote job creation and retention. (Modeled after a successful GROW Nebraska grant program, NSBAA.)

This grant funding is available for startups, expansion, and professional services. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with quarterly reviews.
⏰ First application deadline is May 31!

Note: Supporting documentation is required with your application, if you are interested and eligible, be prepared to provide:
• A summary of your business concept or expansion plan.
• Financial projections for the next three years
• A business plan
• An itemized plan detailing the intended use of grant funds

E3 is here to assist with your application process, answer questions, review your plan and financials.

Applications are reviewed and approved through the Sidney Economic Development Citizen Advisory Committee, a separate entity than E3.

Shout out to our elevator pitch judges for the 2026 YEC: Youth Entrepreneurship Competition! Every year we bring in judges from across Nebraska, business professionals with real experience in strategic planning and business development, to support and challenge our students.

Each high school student delivered a 3-minute pitch, followed by 12 minutes of thoughtful questions from the judges.

A huge thank you to Cory, Scott, Jana, Brittany and Tim for giving their time, sharing their expertise, and traveling to be part of this event!

The updated proposal for the Economic Development Corporation was approved by City Council last night to pursue next steps of drafting an interlocal agreement for final review.
