This is a historic and heartfelt moment for our Seminarian Family as we recognize the final day of service of our Receptionist, Rita Angeles. For the past 20 years, Rita has faithfully served as the welcoming presence of our community, greeting countless visitors and supporting all of us with professionalism, kindness, and dedication.

As she enters a well-deserved retirement, we extend our deepest gratitude for her many years of outstanding service and wish her every happiness in this new chapter of life.

We are also pleased to welcome Becky Prosser as our new Receptionist. We look forward to her contributions and are excited to have her join our community.

Rita and Becky are both valued members of our family, and we celebrate this important transition with appreciation and joy.

Three outstanding seminarians from the Diocese of Sioux City have returned to Kenrick-Glennon Seminary for a new academic year of formation. We are especially grateful that two of them have already been ordained deacons and continue their journey toward the priesthood as they prepare for a life of service to Christ and His Church.

An amazing story of our Alumnus, Fr. Paul Gardner (Class of 2022) from the Diocese of Bismarck!
As a student at the University of Mary, Fr. Paul encountered the Lord in a profound way and discerned his vocation to the priesthood. Today, he returns to the very campus where his faith journey deepened, now serving as University Chaplain and accompanying a new generation of students as they seek God's will in their own lives.

He was once a Mary student. Now he’s coming home as a priest. 💙🧡

The University of Mary is pleased to welcome Father Paul Gardner as our new university chaplain and director of the Saint John Paul II Center for University Ministry.

Father Gardner first came to Mary as a double major in math and chemistry. Two years later, he left for the seminary after discerning a call to the priesthood.

Now, four years after his ordination, he’s returning to the campus where his own faith took deeper root, this time to walk alongside a new generation of Mary students.

“I had a deep encounter with the Lord when I was going to college there,” Father Gardner says. “It transformed me from seeing the faith as something that was necessary to something attractive as well.”

Welcome home, Father Gardner. We’re so grateful you’re back. 🙏

A wonderful opportunity from a Vocation Office for men discerning their vocation. Every month, young men are invited to a morning of prayer, talk, conversation, and fraternity at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. Lunch is provided and is always delicious!

Curious about discernment? Feeling a tug on your heart?

Join us for a morning of prayer, conversation, and community at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.

These monthly meetings provide an entry-level opportunity for young men to begin asking questions about discernment and to meet others who are seeking the heart of Christ.

If you’re new to discernment but feel a tug on your heart, these meetings are for you.

Meetings are held monthly on Saturday mornings from 10:00 AM–12:30 PM at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. Meet at the front doors. Lunch is included.

Each meeting includes discussion on an aspect of discernment, time for prayer, and lunch with the seminarians. Fr. Tony Ritter, a seminarian, and a guest priest speaker lead each meeting.

Come ask questions, pray, build community, and take the next step in discerning where God is calling you.

Some of our collegians spent a day volunteering at Camp Cana, where they helped clear out an attic, completed various service projects around the camp, and wrapped up the day with a friendly game of paintball. It was a wonderful opportunity for service, fraternity, and fellowship before their formation journey at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary.
