🌿 We Need Volunteers to Help Keep History Alive!
Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit is dedicated to preserving and sharing our historic property — but we can’t do it alone. If you love nature, community, creativity, or tech, we’d be thrilled to have you join us.

We’re currently looking for volunteers in a few key areas:

🪏 Trail and Garden Care: Help keep our grounds beautiful, welcoming, and safe for visitors.

📝 Event Coordination and Support: Assist with planning, organizing, and hosting community events that bring the property to life.

📱 IT and Social Media Support: Lend your digital skills to help us stay connected and share our story online.

💻 Marketing and Website creation: Help us reach more people by improving our online presence and outreach.

Whether you can give a few hours a month or a few hours a week, your time makes a real difference. You’ll be part of preserving a local treasure and helping our community experience its history in meaningful ways.

If you’re interested, comment below or send us a message — we’d love to welcome you to the team.

Thank you-

Artist Profile #12
Come see ROSE WANG tomorrow at Art in Prospect Park!

Rose is a Shrewsbury resident, mother of 5, and the person most recommended in town for nearly any artistic task. She paints amazing watercolors (many on commission), embroiders, tailors, and creates custom clothing. Since her cancer diagnosis in 2023, she has focused solely on her art as her primary job, and has been busier than ever! We are so excited to have her at this year's ART in PROSPECT PARK (tomorrow 9/14 from 11-3pm).

Art in Prospect Park is this Sunday!
Artist Profile #11, Richard Hughes

Richard makes educational animation kits that are geared toward home schoolers, parents and teachers who are looking to give students a hands-on feel of what early animation was about. 9 lesson plans that explain how animation works correspond with 14 animation strips. Some are completed with a template provided and there are perforated blank animation strips for students to create on their own. The kits were designed by Richard and laser cut at Technocopia on Portland St. in Worcester. All parts snap-fit together without glue in about 15-30 minutes and then the 14 animation strips are placed inside to view. Painting with their own acrylic paint pens or other types of markers personalize each spinning device before assembly or they can take it apart to paint after assembly because it snap-fits together again.
