🍲 A SIMPLE MEAL. A POWERFUL MISSION. A LEGACY OF LOVE. ❤️
On Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 5–7 PM, we invite you to join Christian Service in Shreveport for our annual Poor Man’s Supper at our new home:
📍 2346 Levy St., Shreveport, LA
The meal is simple: soup and bread.
But the meaning behind it is profound.
In 1970, Sister Margaret McCaffrey founded Christian Service Hospitality House with a simple mission: to serve people in need with love, dignity, and respect. She never turned anyone away. She fed the hungry, welcomed the hurting, and believed that every person deserved to be treated with compassion.
More than 3 million meals later, that mission continues. ❤️
The Poor Man’s Supper gives us a small glimpse into the reality faced by many people experiencing homelessness and hunger — while raising critical funds to provide food, clothing, and emergency assistance to people in our community.
This year, we’re asking you to pull up a chair, share a simple meal, and stand with our neighbors in need.
🙌 Sponsor Christian Service.
🥣 Share a meal.
❤️ Honor Sister Margaret’s legacy.
🤝 Help us continue serving our community.
Your donation or sponsorship — at any level — can make a meaningful difference.
Come hungry for hope. Leave inspired to help.
