You ready to kick off Halloween with a dance party?? Costumes are not required but appreciated. However, a willingness to dance and have fun is required to join this party! Less than 2 weeks away.

Yes, the YMCA is a nonprofit. Yes, we need the support of our community to keep serving our community.

We require $450,000 in annual campaign contributions to continue to offer programs such as:

Teaching water safety to all Caddo Parish public school 1st graders

Providing subsidizes to: seniors, military/first responders, and income restrained members

Offering program for special populations such as:

Thrivers: healthy, social opportunities to those in cancer recovery

Rock Steady: program for those with Parkinsons

Adaptive PE for school aged special needs students

As of today, the Y has raised $196,262 or 44% of the necessary funds for the year.

You can give year around to our Annual Campaign online (https://www.ymcanwla.org/give/annual-campaign/) or in person at any of the three branches or by regular mail to any of the three branches. Donations are fully tax deductible.

These funds allow us to continue to serve 5,000 participants annually in our youth sports programs, employ over 400 people in our community and collaborate with more than 30 other local nonprofits.

We are thrilled to announce Esteban as a YMCA board member. Esteban is a leader in marketing, branding, and creating elevated guest experiences within our community.

When asked why he chose to serve the Y: "I came here from another country, built my career, along with lasting relationships here and now I want to invest back into our community. I look forward to helping the YMCA identify opportunities to engage businesses, sponsors, and community partners in supporting programs that serve children, families, and adults in the region.”
