Last weekend, one of our America 250 locomotives was on display at the Kansas City Southern Historical Society's annual conference in DeQuincy, Louisiana, for local rail fans to see up close.

Whether pulling freight across the U.S. Midwest, or spotted at special rail heritage events in places from Minnesota to Louisiana, our America 250 locomotives bring a piece of living history to every community they pass through.

Convention 2026 is a wrap!

Thanks to everybody that came out to visit and be a part of another great event.

Thanks to the DeRidder Beauregard Museum for hosting our group and annual picnic lunch!

Saturday night’s event had great food, a photo presentation by Albert Pfeiffer, and CPKC’s Jeff Terry, who gave an excellent lecture on Harvey Couch, the L&A, and how he shaped the modern KCS in the 1930s and 1940s.

A very special thank you to our hosts, the DeQuincy Railroad Museum, and CPKC, for allowing the 776 to be displayed during our visit.

Happy Convention Saturday!

Events getting underway this morning. We had some great presentations last night by the DeQuincy Railroad Museum, Ronnie Vail, Steve Pawlow, and Jake McCoy.

It’s convention day! We look forward to seeing everybody this evening for the start of events at the DeQuincy Railroad Museum.

The CPKC’s KCS 776 is already on site, so make sure you come by to see it!
