Congratulations to the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet (SMB) for receiving a $15,500 competitive grant from the Carolyn Querbes Nelson Memorial Fund!
Ms. Carolyn Querbes Nelson, a passionate supporter of the arts in Shreveport, was deeply involved in various cultural organizations. She earned her Master’s Degree in Art History and served as the first full-time Director of Programs at the Meadows Museum of Art at Centenary College, where she developed outreach and education initiatives.
Throughout her 25-year career as Managing Director at Querbes & Nelson, Carolyn held leadership roles on boards for numerous organizations, including the Shreveport Art Guild and the Shreveport Symphony.
CFNLA is proud to continue her legacy of positively impacting our community.
A heartfelt thank you to the Community Foundation of North Louisiana for awarding SMB a competitive grant to support our mission of presenting full-length ballets and providing opportunity and education for our community.
