Lynette is passionate about library advocacy, developing community partnerships, and mentoring and training the next generation of library professionals, believing that libraries play a central role in the economic and educational progress and success of their communities. She believes that libraries should be welcoming and inclusive spaces, reflecting the interests, needs and wants of the communities they serve.
Lynette recalled that one of her happiest memories was of her father walking her to their neighborhood library, the David Raines Branch, for its summer reading program. Today, she brought two of her childhood SML cards to share with the staff.
