ABOUT THE RED RIVER REVEL
Red River Revel is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the region around Shreveport, Louisiana with cultural programming in the areas of “Art, Music, Food.” Program events include Shreveport Farmers’ Market, CORK: A Red River Revel Wine Event, and the Red River Revel Arts Festival. Created in 1976, the Red River Revel is a multi-day annual arts festival bringing to

gether visual, musical, and performing artists, along with the regional community for a celebration of the arts. The Red River Revel is a community partner with local nonprofits, over 20 of which serve food and raise funds using the unique blend of culturally inspired flavors of the area and beyond. Each year during the festival, thousands of area 4th grade students spend the school day at the Red River Revel learning about and participating in arts education programs. Local, regional, and national musical acts perform on two stages in Shreveport’s Festival Plaza during the event. Approximately 100,000 visitors from all over the country visit the Red River Revel Arts Festival each year. This “Celebration of the Arts” encompasses quality in visual and performing arts, seminars, workshops, children's arts education, and a variety of creative experiences. In addition to the festival, the organization manages the 13-week Shreveport Farmers’ Market, held weekly on Saturdays during the Summer. The Red River Revel also produces CORK: A Red River Revel Wine Event, an annual celebration of wine and food, which serves as a fundraising event held at Festival Plaza each Spring. We couldn't agree more. Claudia and David Oliver are cherished for their enduring support of many organizations and initiatives. Our community is a better and brighter place for having them in it. ❤️

For more than 35 years, Claudia Oliver and David Oliver have faithfully served Community Renewal International in countless ways, leaving fingerprints of care, generosity, and dedication all across our mission. 💙

From volunteering behind the scenes to helping lead fundraising efforts and planning the beloved Bob Griffin Croquet Classic year after year, their commitment has helped strengthen programs that continue changing lives throughout our community.

Because of supporters like Claudia and David, proceeds from the Croquet Classic continue to help fund the Adult Renewal Academy, creating opportunities for adults to pursue education, personal growth, and new beginnings.

Their 35 years of service represent what caring relationships truly look like in action. Thank you both for the time, heart, leadership, and unwavering dedication you have poured into this community for decades. 🏏✨

50 Years of Revel: Here's another from 1987 on the Louisiana Downs Casino & Racetrack Stage. The concert was sponsored by Red River Motor Company, which we know and love today as Red River Chevrolet. EDIT: The band is Beto & the Fairlanes, many thanks to the affable Keith Abel for the correction.

Communities become stronger when people begin to see their own success tied to the success of the place itself.

Better schools.
Better public spaces.
Better opportunities.
More alignment.
More hope.

The older I get, the more I believe civic health is its own form of wealth.

And some of the most meaningful work we can do is leave a place better than we found it.

It's with great sadness that we share the community's loss of one of our dearest Revelers, Peter Lyons. Serving as co-chair of the Hospitality Committee (of course) on FPC, Peter brought joy and laughter to every moment. His step-grandmother, Peggy Lyons, served on the first Revel committee in 1976 and his family's multi-generational commitment to the community is an example to us all. We grieve the loss of our committee chair, coffee pusher, spirited host of any occasion, and loyal friend. Cheers to you, Peter. You will be sorely missed. 💔
