🌟 NEW COURSE 🌟

🐝 From Queen Bee to Collaboration: Rethinking Professional Culture in Interpreting

Ever felt excluded, gatekept, or left without the mentorship you needed as an interpreter? You’re not alone, and it’s time to change the narrative.

Join us for our latest two-hour professional development webcast, led by Wendi W. Coker. Together, we’ll explore the subtle workplace dynamics often called "Queen Bee Syndrome"—behaviors like status signaling, exclusion, and withholding support that can impact interpreters of any gender.

This isn't just about identifying the problem; it’s about building a better future for our field.

What you’ll gain:

Identify the Dynamics: Learn to define and recognize at least six specific behaviors that characterize these dynamics in ASL interpreting settings.

Analyze the Impact: Evaluate how these behaviors affect professional growth, service quality, and our relationships within the community.

Build Solutions: Walk away with evidence-based strategies, actionable mentorship protocols, and personal behavior modifications to cultivate a supportive, inclusive professional culture.

Let’s move away from gatekeeping and move toward growth, together. 🤟

This webcast is VOICED.
