Castle Jackson

The Castle Jackson Halloween Party began when I was in high school. What started as a cool way to meet people and have fun celebrating my favorite holiday grew each year, bigger and better. Eventually we got too big for the 'burbs and traveled to the city! Along the way a group of folks returned every year to help throw the best shindig we could. Now here we are, always trying to move onwards and upwards, to see just how big we can grow. I once heard a guy say, "You cut me, I bleed 318." I moved here the day before Halloween in 1994 and have stomped around here ever since. Some might hate, but not me. This party is our love letter to Shreveport. To the people, the local talents and everyone who work so hard to help this city grow. It is one small way I can give back to a city that has provided me with so much. Ya'll work hard all year and if this party can provide one night of laughter, excitement and much needed debauchery then it will have done its job. The Castle is all of us. The group of folks that help make it happen; the bands, the bars, the bartenders, the artists, the dreamers, the misfits, the miscreants, those that see hope and opportunity in every corner of this town. The Castle is Shreveport! Forever and always Happy Halloween.
