Historically, Sankofa Gardens operated under the umbrella of Sankofa Vision, Inc. Sankofa Vision coordinates seasonal community garden planting events and programs for families and community at large:

Community garden workdays are monthly from 8-11 AM.

> (Winter) Celebration of Our Ancestors

Join us at Shreveport Green on Saturday, December 13th 11am - 2pm for our next Louisiana CRAFT event! The Shreveport Green Urban Farm is a living classroom located adjacent to downtown Shreveport, designed to show how urban agriculture can feed and strengthen communities. We'll spend or time together learning more about their operations, programs, and what's growing! Registration is free but required, please sign up on Eventbrite which is linked in our bio.
