In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are honored to share a powerful and deeply personal testimony from one of our very own sisters, who shares her breast cancer journey with us.

After receiving a breast cancer diagnosis in 2022, despite initially receiving reassuring mammogram results, she faced an unexpected journey of uncertainty, prayer, and difficult decisions. With faith in God, guidance from her medical team, and tremendous strength, she underwent a mastectomy and was joyfully declared cancer-free in May 2023!

💕Today, she proudly celebrates being a survivor, a victorious overcomer, and a living testimony of resilience.✨

She reminds us that behind every smile may be a story of battles fought, prayers whispered, and victories celebrated. It also reminds us of the importance of regular screenings, recommended follow-up care, listening to our bodies, and supporting one another through life’s unexpected challenges.

We are incredibly grateful to our sister for trusting us with her story and reminding us that even the strongest among us sometimes need encouragement, love, and a helping hand.

Today, we celebrate her courage, her faith, her healing, and her willingness to use her testimony to encourage others.💖

6 Years of Mingles & Mammograms: Making an Impact, One Screening at a Time!💗🎀

Today, we proudly celebrated our 6th Annual Mingles & Mammograms event, continuing our commitment to promoting breast health awareness, early detection, and access to valuable health resources within our community!

Through this initiative, we had the opportunity to connect with women in our community, encourage proactive health decisions, and reinforce the importance of prioritizing breast health. Because early detection matters, and every opportunity to educate and empower can make a difference!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Memorial Hermann Northeast for your continued partnership, support, and dedication to helping us make this initiative possible. We are equally grateful to all of our community partners, volunteers, and everyone who helped make today a success!

Our October HBCU/Collegiate-themed Chapter Meeting was filled with school spirit, sisterly love, and fellowship!

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we took time to honor and celebrate our beautiful breast cancer survivors and warriors, recognizing their strength, courage, and resilience.

We were also incredibly honored to have our AKA South Central Region guest, Madam Regional Director Shawn Simmons , who poured into our chapter with encouraging words, wisdom, and genuine sisterly love. Her presence was truly a blessing, and we are grateful for the opportunity to fellowship and be inspired!
