SO! The way my focus and concentration have been and the fact that I am just not physically capable of all of the work involved, I have decided to dissolve Scooter Baby Ministries.
I am donating all of the inventory to my brother's nursing home activities director. There are 6 of them that group together for activities during certain times of the year and she will distribute the dolls where needed over them all. The games will be a welcomed addition to their days. She will also use the door prizes for wins and gifts during games or birthdays and all of the crafting supplies will be welcomed by their Alzheimer and Dementia patients. Crafting is an essential part of their lives and a great help.
To say it has been a blessing over these many years is an understatement. I cannot begin to describe the overwhelming feelings of love and gratitude I have felt being part of this ministry.

SO! We got hit today with some high winds and had to get our signs in @ 1230 before they blew away! Without signs no one knew we were having an inside rummage sale. So we shut down earlier than hoped... ...BUT! We brought in $130 and gave away 2 dolls! In less than 4 hrs! 🥳🥳 God is good !

We are looking for ways to raise more $! We have given about 70 dolls away since the Craft Fair! God is so good. We will be trying to 'adopt' @ least half of the nursing homes in Shreveport \Bossier by end of year. I just recently realized there are about 20 just in Northwest Shreveport! 😳😢
The need for dolls has increased unbelievably!
Having a church lunch today after service and taking donations. 61 dolls cost us $956 shipped. Which is a great price! But still a lot of $.
We will be having a $3 below sale @ Western Hills Baptist Church on the 26th of July. INDOORS!

We bought 61 dolls with the $ we raised @ the Craft Fair on May 3rd!
We delivered 28 dolls last week to Southern Hills Nursing home on Baird Rd (no pics allowed there) and today we delivered 20 to Heritage Manor South on Stratmore off Youree (hwy 1).
I usually try to take a few xtra (2 today) and 2 ladies in the Memory Care unit walked by the cart and snagged them a doll, named them on the spot and walked away with them! HOW PERFECT was the count today!!
Heritage Manor Stratmore gave permission to photograph the ones the families okayed, so..
That makes 50 out of the 61 and CeCe @ our church works in a nursing home and got 3 over a 2 week period! 53 dolls in a couple of months time! I think we are going to have to do another fundraiser to get us through the year! We need about $1000.
Maybe a donations plate lunch @ church after Sunday service on the 13th?!? I think my daughter will be more than willing to make her Million Dollar Spaghetti!! AWESOME STUFF!! With garlic bread and salad and tea?! And of course ya'll KNOW how much I love to make desserts! :D

SO! The company we get our dolls from called me and we can save mega bucks on shipping by adding dolls! We are getting 61 dolls (5 boxes)! Whoop Whoop! Can I get an AMEN? THANK YOU DAISY FROM KINNEX for the valuable information!

SO! We have an order for 46 dolls ready in our cart! Just waiting for the modified invoice to pay and get them shipped! Will be planning a delivery as soon as I get a nursing facility in need lined up!

I just want to thank everybody that showed up showed out and set up! God bless you all! We brought in a total of $1,200! With a previous deposit the total is actually 1,700.
Guess who's ordering baby dolls first thing next week? We had less than 20 left by the time of the craft fair!
I can't say thank you enough! We even managed to give a couple of dolls away way to patients in need during the event!
