Social Therapy Project

Social Therapy Project The Social Therapy Project distinguishes itself through a holistic approach that differentiates us from other nonprofits.

Healing Communities Together
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to healing communities by making mental health services accessible to all, especially those facing economic or social barriers. While many organizations focus on addressing a single aspect of need—hunger, homelessness, or spiritual struggles—our initiative seeks to encompass all facets of human well-being. Guided by a deep fai

th and the principle of loving our neighbors as ourselves, we operate under the conviction that to uplift the community truly, we must attend to its mental, physical, and spiritual needs collectively. From distributing blankets, coats, and food to offering prayers on the street for those who feel too worn down to pray for themselves, we strive to provide comprehensive support. Counseling services, financial planning assistance, and help for those grappling with past traumas are free, underlining our commitment to accessibility and care. We believe in the transformative power of recognizing that a person is not defined by their struggles but by their potential to overcome them, inspired by the notion that "As a Man Thinketh, so is he." In essence, the Social Therapy Project's unique approach lies in our dedication to treating the individual as a whole, ensuring that no aspect of their needs is neglected in our quest to foster healing and resilience within the community.

We are driving around the known camps to remind people about homeless shelters or transport them there to stay warm.

Many shelters have no closing curfew, pets accepted, and relaxed entry requirements during these freezing temperatures.

No one needs to freeze to death!

Heroes-Giving has very humble beginnings.
Army war veteran SFC James, tells the story.

Will hadn't seen his veteran neighbor across the hall in a few days. I suggested that he get the manager, Kim to check.

They found out that he had passed away peacefully in his recliner of natural causes. A month later, another veteran went to glory in a peaceful way as well.

I noticed that moral was down and the veterans were not their normal selves. No one had told me a war story or military joke filled with "colorful language" in a long time. IYKYK.

Will checked with manager Kim Pennington, to see if we could host a Friends-Giving.

It was such a fun time filled with food, fellowship, and dancing to old school music from decades past.

The next year, the veterans asked me if we could continue. I had only expected to host it that 1 year. Their hearts were filled with such gratitude, how could we say no.

Thus, Heroes-Giving was born!!

It is our small way to bring the community partners and volunteers together to "Serve those that served us!"
