Today was a beautiful session at Edify. The Topic of the Day was Communication! We did several different activities to help the children apply the lesson. We had them each introduce themselves to each other & did activities like charades and had them speak about what they were grateful for. The children learned that the most important part of communication is listening ( Thank You Ms. Hawkins ). You must make sure you are listening to understand. Also make sure you are communicating in the best way to be understood.

We are building here at Edify, Every Wed 6-7pm & Thursday 6-7:30pm come see us @ 3709 Jewella Ave. We are accepting children of ALL AGES.

Mentor and Co founder Ogd Mclemore taught a lesson on Communication reiterating the importance and how to better communicate with the people around you. After a successful lesson the students enjoyed a plate of good food 😋

On Wednesday February 22, students Adyn Rayson and Joel Campbell gave us a demonstration on how Teamwork can help you succeed. Team work requires two or more individuals to communicate with each other and use whatever skills they possess to help each other to achieve a goal. This was an an excercise to sharpen the mentees skills in Communication.

Day 1 of Sign Up!

Thank you to all that came out today! Those that signed up to be mentees, mentors, & sponsors. We are excited about this journey and are looking forward to the turn out tomorrow, Feb. 16th. We will be at the facility again located at 3709 Jewella Avenue from 6pm-7pm answering all questions and giving out information . Thank you to all who have supported so far, this is only the beginning!

Hello, Family!

Are you looking for a place to send your kids for a couple of nights out of the week? A place that will help them become their BEST?! Do you know some at-risk youth that need some guidance?

We are a New mentoring group in the Shreveport-Bossier Area. Our focus is to guide our youth and give them life skills to help them discover their purpose. We are currently accepting children from 3rd grade and up to participate in our program. Below is an Example of the contract and some of the topics we will be discussing in the program.
