Jennifer and I had the pleasure of meeting Bishop Evans at the wedding rehearsal of Bishop Titus and Lady Stewart in 1999, after returning to the United States from Okinawa, Japan. We will never forget this encounter.

I will never forget Bishop Evans, Bishop Stewart, and I touring the renovations of a large ministry in Mississippi. Bishop Evans had a sense of humor. Trying to stay serious when he was in a humorous mood was difficult.

Bishop Evans was a prolific preacher, teacher, and fellow laborer in the Kingdom of God. He and I have graced many pulpits together, sometimes rejoicing and sometimes comforting them that mourn.
Temple of Greater Works mourns with Lady Evans, Bethel Temple Longview, the Texas State Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, and the Body of Christ.

This is Women's History Month and we are so proud to have one of Temple of Greater Works' Women making history! Our own Caretia J. Washington is one of twelve in the nation selected as an ASPO New Investigator. May the Lord Jesus continue to bless Caretia J. Washington.

Caretia Washington is one of only 12 students nationwide to be selected for the ASPO program.

Some call us Brother, Minister, Apostle, Preacher, Elder, Pastor, Evangelist, Sister, Bishop, Mister, and Missus...... Today, scratch all of the titles! Today, Richard D. Washington and Jennifer E. Washington stood in line for over an hour on the first day of early voting in Shreveport, Louisiana, to cast our vote for the next President of the United States of America. We are not patting ourselves on the back. There were no dogs attacking us, no fire hoses turned on us, no violence, and we were not called hateful names. Our pioneers endured such to ensure we had the right to vote. To our pioneers, Thank You! We stood in line with young and older people representing different races, creeds, origins, genders, sexual orientations, colors, religions, and cultures. We saw people on oxygen, canes, walkers, and with various disabilities eager to vote. Numerous people were in wheelchairs and needed assistance rolling through the doors. Jennifer and I understand how sacred voting is and the blood that is on the ballot boxes all across America. It really wasn't that long ago that people of color and women could not vote. If the Lord gives us long life, we pray to be voting in our 90s. We have no excuse for not voting and neither do you. Vote!
