TRINICIA LEONARD ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR SHREVEPORT CITY COURT JUDGE, DIVISION D
As election season begins to take shape across Shreveport, local attorney and former prosecutor Trinicia Leonard-Farris has officially announced her candidacy for Shreveport City Court judge, Division D.
Leonard brings years of courtroom experience to the race, with a legal background that includes criminal law, family law and trial litigation. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to serving the citizens of Caddo Parish both inside and outside the courtroom.
Currently practicing law in the Shreveport area, Leonard said her campaign is centered on fairness, stability, professionalism and restoring confidence in the court system.
🗣️ “My platform is centered on fairness, stability and a heightened sense of professionalism within our courts,” Leonard said. “I am running because I believe the people of Shreveport deserve experienced, professional and community-focused leadership on the bench.”
In addition to her legal practice, Leonard currently serves as vice president of the Women’s Section of the Shreveport Bar Association and is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association House of Delegates.
Public service and community involvement have remained central throughout Leonard’s professional journey. She said she is committed to integrity, fairness and treating every individual who enters the courtroom with dignity and respect.
Beyond the courtroom, family plays a major role in her life. Her husband, Daniel, is also a local attorney who currently serves as a hearing officer with Shreveport Environmental Court and Property Standards. Together, they are raising their two young sons, Sebastian and Amir, in the Shreveport community they proudly call home.
As the upcoming election cycle continues to develop, Leonard’s entry into the Division D race adds another experienced legal voice to one of the city’s most important judicial positions.
