Mrs. Golden Angel stopped by today as we prepare for our Freedom Summer Tour. I’m proud of these college students and the commitment they have made to the fight for justice. The Peoples Promise Youth Division has officially joined the NAACP, and these young leaders are ready to organize, educate, and lead. The future is in good hands. ✊🏾🔥

Today we had the privilege of speaking with and listening to the inspiring young leaders of the Peoples Promise Youth Division as they officially joined the NAACP.

As these dedicated college students prepare for their Freedom Summer Tour, they are demonstrating a powerful commitment to justice, equity, civic engagement and community empowerment. Their passion, vision and willingness to lead remind us that the future of the movement is in capable hands.

The NAACP is proud to welcome and partner with these emerging leaders as we continue the fight for civil rights and social justice. Together, we are building a stronger future; one driven by informed voices, courageous action and the unwavering belief that positive change is possible.

The movement continues, and the next generation is ready to lead.

We will gather Friday and Saturday, December 12th and 13th for an in-depth training of the trainers. This 2-day training is for community organizers, leaders, activists, student/youth leaders, and deeply concerned citizens. We will examine our current political landscape, and access the tools to organize and build power, together!
