A Better Me! is Diva's Empowerment Resource Center's 26-Week Batterer's Intervention Program designed to promote accountability, self-awareness, personal growth, and lasting behavioral change.

Through structured lessons, reflection, and guided discussions, participants are encouraged to examine unhealthy behaviors, develop healthier coping skills, improve communication, and take responsibility for their actions.

My condolences and prayers to the Family, so sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace…Gone Too Soon!!

A tragic act of violence in Shreveport, Louisiana has left a community reeling after eight children, ages 1 to 14, were killed and two others injured in what authorities are calling a horrific domestic violence disturbance.

The gunman has been identified as Shamar Elkins, the father of most of the children who were killed, turning an already heartbreaking situation into an unfathomable loss for families devastated by this tragedy.

In the wake of the mass shooting, grief and disbelief have echoed across social media, with many struggling to comprehend how a father could take the lives of those he once cared for.

As authorities continue to investigate the circumstances, loved ones, neighbors, and strangers alike are left asking the same haunting question: how could something so tragic happen so suddenly within what appeared to be a family?

What steps can we take as a society to better recognize and prevent situations where domestic unrest leads to unfathomable violence like this?
