The 2nd Annual Merry & Brights Community Christmas Light Display Contest is officially underway — and it’s the perfect reason to gather your friends, load up the family, and head out for a magical night of twinkling lights and holiday cheer!

From classic displays to creative surprises, homes all across Shreve are shining bright for the season. All you need is a warm cup of cocoa, your favorite people, and a little Christmas spirit to enjoy the show.

Simply text the number of your favorite display to 330.465.7691.
Voting is open from December 6th at 12:00 am through December 19th at 11:59 pm.

The time has arrived! This Saturday December 6, 2025. Our museum will be open for the Christmas in Shreve. We will have a snack, cocoa and an opportunity to take your own photo, with your family in Shreve's historical jail cell that was used years ago. Time to make memories.

Grab your friends, bundle up the family, and head to the Village of Shreve TOMORROW for an afternoon overflowing with Christmas magic, hometown joy, and memory-making fun!

From 2–5 PM, explore tons of festive activities throughout the village—crafts, treats, contests, Santa stops, live entertainment, and more! Then stick around for the LIGHTS! Parade at 5:30 PM followed by our beautiful Community Tree Lighting.
