Sally, Lori, Brio, and I experienced a fantastic hike, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of our surroundings. The temperature was warm, ranging in the 70s, as we completed a 6-mile trek through the stunning Sonoran Desert.

Finally! A HIKE!
This meetup group has been inactive for a few years but I kept the FB page so I can occasionally post adventures.
Our next group adventure is a hike in the beautiful Goldfield Mountain desert off of US88 near Apache Junction on Feb 3.
The hike will be about 8 miles with a nice lunch break. We’ll meet at Goldfield Ghost Town 9AM
Anyone interested please contact me by messenger or text 602-550-7679

Hike to Cibeque Falls
Wednesday May 15
Leave town 8AM (meeting place TBA)
Permit Cost $45 pp.

This is one of the most beautiful hikes in our area!

You are responsible for getting a permit. We use to get them at Carrizzo Store on the way but I heard they’re closed. They’re available at Sportsman’s Warehouse and Western Drug. I’ve never been successful getting a permit online.

After the turnoff at the Salt River the 4 mile road is very rough. I recommend a high clearance vehicle. Comment here if you can drive (and number of seats available) or if you need a ride, hopefully it will work out and everyone who wants to go can, please don’t forget to offer gas money.

The hike...Moderate 1.5 miles each way. You will be walking in water much of the time. There is also some boulders to climb. Even though this is a short hike, it can be challenging for some, hike at your own risk.
I usually wear old sneakers and bring a trekking pole for balancing in water.
Bring lunch, a change of clothes and shoes and a plastic bag to put your dirty wet things in and your normal hiking gear.

This will be a fun filled day trip!

Going to plan another hike to Cibeque Falls. Who wants to go?
