Sad news from one of our favorite AZ gardening teachers 🙏
Hello friends. I have some difficult news to share.
I was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. My husband and I are heading to Mayo Clinic in Rochester next week, and I have an excellent team of doctors.
I want to live, and I’m going to do everything I can to fight this. I also know that I am in the Lord’s hands and being watched over. I’ve already seen so many miracles.
Telling the people I love has been one of the hardest parts. I’m learning that the price of loving people so deeply is a lot of sadness and a lot of tears.
Can I also tell you how much I love teaching people how to garden?
Over the past several years, I’ve felt an urgency to teach and share as much as I can. Thank you for allowing me to do that. It has brought so much joy and purpose to my life.
I don’t know what teaching, gardening, or sharing will look like in the coming days and months. I have help keeping things going. I want to keep doing what I love when I can. If you see me teaching or sharing, know that it’s because it brings me joy.
I choose hope. We are going to fight this.
And if you’re a praying person, I would be very grateful for your prayers for me and my family.
