We don't always get the neat photos while we're doing it, but our advocacy outreach this year has covered a lot of ground! 🥾💪

From the far flung communities of the Amargosa Basin to Bishop, San Bernardino, Sacramento, and beyond, we have been meeting with community members and decision-makers on the ground to advocate for permanent protection of the Amargosa Basin in California. 🏜

We've made a lot of progress in 2026 with the support of our friends, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the year and the start of 2027 will bring.

Shout out to our favorite rare marshland plant: Tecopa bird’s beak (Chloropyron tecopense)!

📍Found almost nowhere else outside of the Amargosa Basin, this tough heat, salt🧂, and water-loving plant is symbolic of what it takes to survive and even thrive in this desert environment. 🌸
