Dear Red Jacket PTSA Members,

The Red Jacket PTSA Nominating Committee is pleased to present the following slate of candidates for the 2026–2027 Executive Board:

President: Mary Mouer
Mary has demonstrated strong leadership, a commitment to student success, and a deep understanding of our PTSA’s mission. Her experience and ability to bring people together make her well-prepared to lead our organization.

Secretary: Leeny Trenkler
Leeny has shown attention to detail and responsibility in managing her own business. Her organizational skills, reliability and strong communication skills will help keep our PTSA running smoothly.

Treasurer: Alyssa Bodine
Alyssa is organized, communicative, and dedicated. Her ability to keep accurate records and ensure clear communication makes her a strong fit to oversee PTSA finances.

Election Details:
The election will take place on May 27th. Voting will be available from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Elementary School Office.

In accordance with NYS PTA bylaws, only current PTSA members are eligible to vote. Voting will be conducted fairly, with each member entitled to one vote.

Election results will be announced at the PTSA meeting on May 27th at 3:30 in the Red Jacket Elementary Cafeteria.

🚨 We need you — right now 🚨
Our PTSA is facing a critical moment.
Due to recent board member resignations, we urgently need to fill open board positions immediately. Without these roles filled, we are at risk of losing the programs that so many of our students and families count on every single day.
We’re talking about things like: • SnackPack Program — helping ensure students don’t go hungry on weekends and breaks
• Family events that bring our community together
• Student support initiatives and enrichment opportunities
• Teacher and classroom support
• Scholarships and senior recognition
• Programs that make our schools feel like home
These aren’t “extras.” These are the heart of what we do — and they only happen because people step up.
Right now, we need community members, parents, guardians — anyone who cares about our kids — to step in and help keep this going. You don’t need to have done this before. You just need to be willing to show up and be part of something that truly makes a difference.

📚✨ PARP Coupons Are Due This Monday! ✨📚
RJ Families — don’t forget! All Pick-A-Reading Partner (PARP) coupons need to be turned in by Monday!
If your student completed their goal of reading 20 minutes a day, five times a week with a reading partner, make sure they cut out their coupon and bring it in!
This program has been so special to watch — students reading with parents, grandparents, siblings, friends (even pets 🐶📖). These moments matter.
Let’s finish strong and celebrate all the hard work our readers have put in this month! 💙

Pick A Reading Partner for the month of March was amazing. We had a great group of kiddos stay to read stories and enjoy the joy a good story will bring us.

Watching these littles help each other, partner up and pick books to read has been pure joy in a bottle. Shout out to our Middle Schoolers who came to help and read with our Elementary students.

Thank you for sharing your babies with us. It has been a pleasure. 😊❤️🖤🤍
