Today’s comes from last weekend’s Walk & 5K Run benefitting The Valerie Fund. Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School’s SMAC chapter raised over $13,000 for TVF, whose mission is to provide individualized care to children with cancer and blood disorders at medical centers close to home. SPF SMAC was one of the top fundraisers for this event and we couldn’t be more proud 🥰

For decades, SMAC students have helped carry forward our mission of supporting those impacted by cancer through fundraising, awareness, and compassion. Every generation leaves its mark, and this photo captures just one moment in a much bigger story

FINAL CHALLENGE: Read a cancer survivor or caregiver story and reflect on it 🎗️

Find a story that moves you. It might be on the website of one of SMAC's partner organizations, in a blog post, in a book, or shared by someone in your own life. Read it slowly. Sit with it. Let it remind you exactly why this month has mattered

Every fundraiser, every awareness campaign, every challenge completed — it all comes back to the people behind the stories. The patients who fought. The caregivers who showed up every single day. The survivors who carry their experience forward with grace and courage. Today is for them.

Thirty-one days. Twenty-five challenges. One incredible community 🥰
