Meet Koa 🌸
Koa is estimated to be around 3 years old and is an island German Shepherd mix. She has such a silly personality and is fully potty trained. Koa does well with many dogs and cats.
Koa came to RUSVM as an owner surrender. She was skin and bones and very pregnant when she first arrived, and her transformation has been amazing. She is such a sweet, loving girl who is still learning her manners, but she is very food motivated and eager to learn. Koa’s had a few posts about her, but let me re-introduce you to her calm, gentle, loving little personality!
One thing about Koa, she WILL give you a hug. Which makes her the perfect therapist after any hard day. She’s the biggest lover at heart, despite having a rough start to her life! She is super good in the house, she settles fast on her queen-sized bed (or the couch when you aren’t looking), she doesn’t destroy anything when you’re gone, and she stays relatively quiet!
Koa’s been working hard on her leash manners, and commands like sit, shake, and heal, and she will need someone to continue her training. She’s also great with my kitty and my neighbor’s dog!
A few things to note when considering Koa for your family, she can’t be kenneled. It scares her, and she will howl. Luckily, she has been lef out for hours, and she does wonderful!. She responds well to corrections and recall. She also comes fully potty-trained. Koa is currently on the island of Saint Kitts under the care of and she has the opportunity to fly to the states in August if we can find her a forever home!!💜💜
