We asked Chat what the Shorewood Foundation could fund... but what ideas do YOU have?

From a Shorewood History Trail to Little Free Art Galleries, an Atwater Sunrise Club, and community benches, these ideas got us thinking about all the possibilities for our community.

Have an idea that could make an impact in Shorewood? We want to hear it!

Submit your grant application today and check out our full grant guidelines at https://shorewoodfoundation.org/apply-for-a-grant/

Hint: Grant applications must align with one of our three pillars:

1. Celebrate Shorewood’s unique culture, values and beauty, ensuring that it remains a special place to live, work and visit.

2. Connect our community in keeping with the village’s neighborly spirit while enhancing health, wellness and quality of life.

3. Sustain Shorewood’s history, charm and civic pride and safeguard its cherished green spaces and parks.

Shorewood, we want to hear from you!

After a wonderful Fourth of July celebration, we’ve heard great feedback about this year’s modified parade route and are gathering community input as we plan for the future.

Your feedback helps guide conversations around future parade routes and ensures we continue creating celebrations our community loves.

Anyone else get a little teary-eyed and filled with pride for our special village at yesterday’s parade? 🥹🇺🇸💙

There’s something special about seeing neighbors line the streets, kids waving flags, families gathering together, and our community showing up for one another.

Our tagline is Celebrate. Connect. Sustain. Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of what that means. Together, we celebrated our country, connected as a community, and continued traditions that make Shorewood such a special place to call home.

Now we want to see it through your eyes! 📸 Share your favorite parade or fireworks photos in the comments or tag us in your posts.

Happy Fourth, Shorewood! ❤️🤍💙

That’s a wrap on Spot It Shorewood! 🔎💙

What started as a way to support our Oakland Avenue businesses during construction became so much more—a chance to explore Shorewood, connect with neighbors, and make some great memories along the way.

To everyone who searched for the decal, solved clues, shared selfies, visited local businesses, and joined in on the fun, thank you! Watching our community embrace our very first Spot It Shorewood week after week made it even more fun than we imagined.

🎉 Congratulations to all of our $100 gift card winners and the Village businesses they supported!

Clue #7 is LIVE… and it’s our final one. 👀

As a proud sponsor of the Shorewood Criterium, today’s Spot It Shorewood hide and clue are race-day specific. 🚴

After weeks of redacted clues, blur effects, emojis, scrambled words, and even two hiding spots, we’re ending the hunt with something simple: the full clue.

This hide is only active during the Shorewood Criterium, so you’ll need to be at the races to spot it!

Find the hidden decal, scan the QR code, and you could win a $100 gift card to an Oakland Ave. business impacted by construction. 🚧

One last clue. One last hide. See you at the races, Shorewood!
