Heads up, Shoreline! Emergency response training is happening at City Hall this weekend.

The City of Shoreline is hosting a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course October 16–18. As part of the course, participants will conduct a simulated disaster response exercise on Sunday, October 18, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the Shoreline City Hall campus.

During the exercise, you may notice:
- Volunteers portraying disaster survivors with realistic-looking simulated injuries
- Loud noises, including people calling or screaming for help
- Emergency response activities that may appear concerning

Please know that this is a planned training exercise, NOT a real emergency.

These hands-on exercises help CERT participants practice essential disaster response skills, including building assessments and emergency triage, so they can better support our community during an actual emergency.
