ABOUT US:
Shoreline PTA Council is affiliated with the Shoreline School District in Washington State and supports 16 local units; 1 Community PTA, 1 Pre-K Childrens' Center, 1 K-8 School, 9 Elementary Schools, 2 Middle Schools and 2 High Schools. The Council also works collaboratively with community partners in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park to organize events that support our students, staff and

families including: sponsoring Guest Speaker nights, Embrace Shoreline Schools, annual Back to School (BTS) event and Holiday Baskets (Food/Toys/ Teen Gift Cards) drive. The Back to School (BTS) event ensures students receive new socks, underwear, and hygiene products for a great start to the new school year. THE WORKS:
Shoreline PTA Council also operates The WORKS, a clothing room that provides high quality, clean, gently used children’s and teen clothing and footwear to Shoreline School District families. Shoreline families experiencing economic hardship can bring their children to “shop” for gently used, stylish clothing. Monthly collection drives are coordinated to collect hygiene products, clothing, socks, underwear etc. https://www.shorelinepta.org/the-works.html

It was truly inspiring to once again co-host the vibrant Shoreline Schools PRIDE Potluck with our incredible Equity and Family Engagement Department. Over 120 students, families, staff, and community members joined us, making the evening a true celebration of joy and belonging! We are deeply grateful to our community partners, PFLAG, the Shoreline Teen Center, and United Methodist Church, for hosting resource tables; to Third Place Books Lake Forest Park for once again bringing excitement with the much-loved PRIDE Book Fair; and to our gifted student performers, whose talents truly lit up the event!

We are grateful for Shoreline Public Schools unwavering dedication to inclusion, and for honoring and uplifting every student and family. Wishing everyone a HAPPY PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈

Congratulations to all of these incredible 2026 Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) Regional Award winners!

We are especially proud of our own Shoreline PTA Council President, Courtney Shuey, for receiving the Community Leadership Award for her outstanding contributions to our schools and families. Courtney gives so much of herself to our Shoreline Schools students, families, and community, and to see her highlighted in this way is just wonderful!

Run, jump, give! 🏃‍♀️⭐

Syre PTA is supporting Hopelink’s End Summer Hunger campaign with a Field Day food drive. Donation bins will be in the front office starting Tuesday, June 2 and by the Syre field during Field Day on Friday, June 12.

Most-needed items include cereal/oats, nut or seed butters, snacks, fruit cups, and ready-to-eat meals.

Let’s fill those bins and help local families this summer! 💙

This summer, as many as 577,000 Washington children will receive SUN Bucks to help buy food when school is not in session.

OSPI is partnering with Washington state's Department of Social and Health Services to distribute these benefits.

The $120 one-time payment per eligible child will be deposited onto new SUN Bucks cards in June.

“Washington state has continued to expand access to nutritious meals for our young people,” said State Superintendent Chris Reykdal. “Combined with our summer meal programs, SUN Bucks helps ensure students continue to access food during the summer months when they are not in school. We appreciate our partnership with DSHS in administering this program in support of our students and families.”
